Re: Bristlenose eggs
Thanks Derek. I really wish I knew what I was doing. This trial and error business is no fun.
I'm thinking it's time to release them from the little net that I have them in and let them be in the bigger breeder net. They aren't all developing at the same rate, however. That seems a little weird to me. Some still have varying amounts of eggsac left, and others are eating veggies already.

Re: Bristlenose eggs
I'm not sure how many there are. They get underneath the little piece of wood and food that I have in the net. Not too many though. Next time (if there's a next time) I'll be better prepared. Then I'd be happy to swap!

Re: Bristlenose eggs
Most are still alive and growing. I can't believe how fast they go through the veggies. I haven't been able to get them to eat pellets or baby brine shrimp, but they like green beans and squash.

Your baby BN's look great!
My one little guy is growing amazingly fast, also. Hopefully next time I will have more.

Re: Bristlenose eggs
I hope they like the music. I spend so much time in there that I have to have it on in while I'm cleaning all of that poop every day.
They don't look like babies any more.

Re: Bristlenose eggs
They average about an inch now and are really going through the vegetables and even ate a slice of fresh peach. I've also been giving them a little bit of NLS.

Awesome, they're lookin great
I had a common pleco that got a taste for NLS and talk about growing in a hurry, it was amazing how big it got in such a short time.

Re: Bristlenose eggs
Congrads on your spawns... I have several breeding groups.. My best producers are in a 20 long... I use caves and large shells. They do really well in the shells.. It appears to be a tight fit but they do well!
Re: Bristlenose eggs
very cool... I give both my Sailfins some cucumber on a regular basis. I caught my big boy (8 inches or so) swimming to the surface with the rest of "the mob" and downing some of the pellets yesterday. That was a first.
