Neo marunguensis have eggs again
Well, the N. marunguensis have eggs again.... I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The last time I saw eggs they were gone 3 days later.

Re: Neo marunguensis have eggs again
Funny you should say that I happen to be very fond of this fish and had a pair that did that 4 times over a 6 or 8 month period. Then the strangest thing happened they both stopped eating but remained active and showed no sigh at all of disease but would not eat and slowly over a couple of months starved to death.
I've never seen anything like it before or since.
Good Luck ! If you were closer I would be asking to be on your fry list

Well, this morning eggs are gone again! grr!
I'm either moving these to a mixed tang set-up or trading em in!
They are taking up space in that 20 long!

Re: Neo marunguensis have eggs again
Well, I moved those two to the 90 gallon for now, and re-scaped their tank for the baby comps I got from the Capt and Nicole. (does that remind you of a 70's pop act?)
The baby comps are so happy in their 20 long, with two rock piles and plants, they are swimming all around and come to the glass to look at me when I approach.
The marunguensis are OK in there, but somebody has nipped off the long ends of their electric blue lyre-tails. Maybe I will move them somewhere else and give them another chance (and let their traling fins grow back)
