I wish we had more people into cichlids up here.

There were a lot of fish geeks. Also a lot of non-ciclids at the auction. Wild-type swords, other live-bearers and substrate spawners. I bought some Ameca splendens to go with my Honduran red points and Thorichthys ellioti.

Re: Pics from FOTAS/CARES
I'll have to look those up to see what they are.
I was at our aquarium society meeting on Tuesday and bought a bag of frogbit. When I dumped it into a tank, I discovered a tiny little fry (and some snails) and I have no idea what it is. I hope the little thing survives. I'd like to know what it is.
It's so hard for me to go to these meetings and have them auctioning fish and I can't buy anything because I don't have the tank space! Adding fish to mbuna tanks that have been established for years is next to impossible.

Re: Pics from FOTAS/CARES
You just need to set up some more tanks, Betty! lol
I have them stacked upper and lower in my fish room, one in my bedroom, one in the living room, 2 in the passageway, and 2 in the computer room, lol.
I have made more space from time to time by selling an entire group of fish, so
freeing up space.
I had sold my demasoni colony, but missed them, so I bought 6 little bitty ones
at the auction, I want to get some more tiny ones and grow them up with some of
my lab fry, to have a yellow and blue tank. My breeder labs are getting on up there in age, so I will need to have a back-up group started.

Re: Pics from FOTAS/CARES
I'd really like to have a fish room! Right now they are spread out all over the house. Six upstairs, seven downstairs. My laundry room counters are covered with tanks and we barely have room for laundry in there.
But I would like to have a 125 -- I'm just waiting for a great deal to come my way. One of these days before I'm too old to take care of it!
