Dear Valued PetSmart Pet Parent,
Marineland has issued a voluntary withdrawal of the Stealth PRO Submersible Heater (100, 200 and 250 watt). The product is being withdrawn due to a quality issue.
If you have this product, please stop using it immediately and take the following steps:
1. Unplug the heater from the wall to stop the flow of electricity
2. Let the heater cool for 15 minutes
3. Remove the heater from the tank
Please bring the product to your closest PetSmart for a full refund or exchange. Replace the product with a comparable heater as soon as possible to maintain the temperature of your aquarium. A PetSmart store associate can help you select the right heater for your aquatic environment.
If you have questions about this withdrawal, please call Marineland Customer Service at 800-526-0650 or 800-432-6986.

Re: Stealth Pro Heater Recall
Had mine for 2 years and no problems, but a freebie sounds nice. Anyone know how much credit you get for returning one?
ONLY info I could find at Petsmart.com

Re: Stealth Pro Heater Recall
Thanks vman,
I went to pet smart and traded in my
2 old stealth heaters that were working perfectly,
for 2 brand new Aqueion or somthing like that.
Cool thing is I gave the guy 2, 200 watt heaters
and he asked if I was getting 250 watt heaters.
I said sure. Then I saved another 20 bucks
on a bag of dog food (It was $65). He credited me
$48 2 times for the heaters I paid 16 bucks apiece for.
Thank you Karma!

I've seen this on a few forums, but couldn't find the information on Marineland's site or anything that give's specific details. I have eight various stealth heaters, all working fine and wonder if they are all affected.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to do this because most of my heaters are the older Stealths; I only have a couple of the Stealth Pros, but it looks like they are all recalled now. I've never had any problems with any of my Stealths so I was going to keep them. Now I'm starting to worry about them...
I hate to have to walk in to PetSmart with eight heaters to be replaced. I bought most of them from Big Al's, but I can't ship to them and wait for replacements.
