It seemed like a great idea when I dumped about 30 or so demasoni fry into my heavily planted 33 long. Last night when I was trying to catch the
now inch-long dems, it didn't seem like such a great idea....lol
I tore up a lot of dwarf chain sword, and had to take all the rocks and all out, but finally got them all, except for 2 or 3 escape artists...
maybe I'll have another go at them later on...
I'm thinking I will just keep that tank for my breeding bristlenose, and put my tetras and rasboras in there to look pretty....

yes, I have tried it, but the only the fish I didn't want went in it!
It worked OK with multies, but there's only multies in their tank, and I wasn't
picky about which ones I caught.
I may try it for those last 3 little stripey stragglers, though!

You take a plastic liter bottle and cut the top off about 1 to 2 inches below where the bottle begins to taper to the neck. Take the cut off top and turn it around and shove it in the bottle. This leaves a big opening for the fish to swim into and once they get by the neck into the bottle they have a heck of a time trying to figure out how to get back out. I normally would not feed the fish for a day or two and then put some of their favorite treats in the bottle before putting it in the tank.

Doesn't always work. But every once in a while you'll get your target fish. For some reason my labs always fell for it. mike
