I think the juvies are nibbling his fins, the trailers broke off about a month ago and instead of growing back it looks like they're just getting shorter

. The juvies should have a problem with the big male by now, not the other way around. Amazing shots as always. The juvies are coming along nicely.

He chased them a couple of days last week but gave up. Think he's just so used to them now he ignores them. Even threw a deformed fuelleborni juvie in there and he ignored it, the fuelleborni is one of the school now Rolling Eyes

A little feeding accident Shocked

They both went for the same piece of krill, he tried to spit the baby out but the fins were stuck. By the time he finally spit it out it was too late. But now he knows they are at least edible.

the two-tone fuelleborni, he wound up having a curved spine so the color is likely nerve damage. Surprised he's got all his fins, the other fish just ignore him, his siblings are nearly 5 inches now.
