so i finaly get to build one

dad say some pics of a buddies pond and now he wants one the only thing i dont know about them is filtering them and how to so does any one know the best way to filter them? and for the size of the pond im thinking like 9 feet by 12 feet and prolly 4 foot deep and its gonna be a koi pond gonna have a water fall and every thing any one know of any good pond sites that has good deals on liners and all that?

If I lived in the South I'd be tempted to do a big cichlid pond built into a hillside with a glass side for viewing. Expensive but it would be neat.

i live like one hour from Chicago thats why im doing koi and if you dig past 4 feet deep your good with temp just need a light air flow to keep a hole in the ice and you can all ways just have it a pond in summer and ice rink winter and pull the cichlids before its cold

one of those above ground kid pools in the summer
and grows out fish. He sometimes sits in it
with a snorkel and looks at the fish, lol.
