You shouldn't have done that. Now nobody is going to be there and I have to do my presentation to an empty room.
Re: CCA May 2010 meeting!!!
Will you be bringing samples for everyone to take home and try tropheus keeping? If so, I call dibbs on the Murago!!!

I wish it was not so far from me.
I would love to meet Klaus.
I would love to meet several of you nice folks.
I have a friend that just started a club in the Nashville area.
Maybe someday you can come speak there.

(Hint: always plan your trips to MD so that you're here on the 2nd sat of the month )
I wonder if there's a way for you to take some fish back on the plane with you... I could hook you up with more paracyp's to give you a decent group as well as add diversity to the group. You find a way to get the fish back, and I'll hook ya up

I sure look forward to meet some you. Pat Kelly and his wife Tracy are good friends for some years now and there are many people in the CCA that I want to meet for a long time. This will be a fun trip for me.
Mike, it is so much hassle to fly to the US these days, I don't want to chance it. I do have a nice group of Paracyps (about 20) and they breed like crazy. However, I thank you very much for your offer.Rift_Lakes_Rule wrote:I wonder if there's a way for you to take some fish back on the plane with you... Re: CCA May 2010 meeting!!!
J, I have heard stories about people going to conventions and taking an extra suitcase and on the return flight packing the suitcase with towels and bags of fish. I'm thinking you could get away with one bag of fish... I'll consult with someone who has done it and I'll tell ya what they say. I'll definitely hook ya up if your game tho
Betty, I'll try to take my camera also. I don't usually bother with the camera at the meetings because a couple of the awesome photographers of the CCA document the meetings very well with photo's... but this is an extra special meeting so I'll try to get pic's to post up here.

Re: CCA May 2010 meeting!!!
The meeting yesterday was great, Klaus' presentation on Tropheus was excellent!!! It's getting rave reviews on the CCA site and there are already new tropheus keepers in the club thanks to his presentation. Klaus was very generous with his time, he took the time to talk with everyone that got near him. Obviously the pictures in the presentation were top notch (no surprise there ).
Thanks Klaus for putting on such a great presentation for the best cichlid club known to man!!!
Oh yeah, now that I know just how big a guy you are... I'll try to be nicer

Re: CCA May 2010 meeting!!!
Mike, I have to thank you guys for inviting me. I had a great time and was very impressed with your club. With the members being scattered up to 3 1/2 hours away and still getting 70 of them attending the meetings is amazing. I especially enjoyed the friendly atmosphare and the hospitality. Great club, keep it going

Mike wouldn't buy a "Malawi-ish" fishAura wrote:What's in that bag, Mike?? It looks kind of Malawi-ish.
That is a beautiful Simochromis diagramma male from the "proper" lake.
Re: CCA May 2010 meeting!!!
Damn if I ain't ugly!!!
Great pic's Klaus, I know you'll be back next summer for the greatest ACA in the history of ACA conventions... but I sure hope we can meet up some time in between then. It'd be really great if we could meet up on a golf course with a few cold brews in the cooler
Yup, it's an Awesome WC Simochromis male. I had no plans to buy anything, I even assured myself of not buying anything by not taking any money with me. My buddy sitting right next to me with the camo hat on asked me if I wanted to look at the auction table and I said "nah, I'm not buyin anything"... then the auction starts, I'm being good not bidding on any of the Tropheus fry that Sarah (Longstocking) brought and then I hear "up next we have a Wild Caught Simochromis diagramma Male from Sarah's Cichlids" I bought fell out of my chair!!! I asked Jordan "how much money you got?!?!" He told me to bid, he had me covered. I had $13 in my pocket and got the fish for $10!!! Unreal...
Jordan is a new member on the forum (TheNewGuy). He lives near Charlotte NC and is here working a job that I'm on. He had no interest in fish until he came over one day to shoot his bow, as soon as he saw my Tropheus he was hooked. I've gotta get over to his apt with my camera to get pic's of his fish so that he can introduce himself and his fish to everyone. (That was Jordan's 2nd meeting, he's been in the hobby 3 months now and has already met Leif DeMaison and Klaus not to mention several of the CCA members... I'm startin him out right )
Thanks again Klaus, you're one cool dude in my book.
