Lookin' good. IF I ever get enough tanks I'll have to get these guys - so similar to the C. sp. "Hara".

Re: Metriaclima Zebra sp. Maison Reef
I think they have a while to go yet, this particular collecting site has the largest size "Chilumba" type blue barred zebra's in the lake!He is coming along nicely! I have 3 pretty sure females, but no breeding yet!
As most sizes are noted in Konings books at around 13-17 cm (6-7 inches) the Maisoni do grow a bit larger,,,larger fish take longer to mature,so I am in hopes that what you think are females,,,stay females!
Hope you add another picture when they get larger,,,they are an awesome mbuna!
Hop this helps!
Cheers,Larry
Re: Metriaclima Zebra sp. Maison Reef
Thanks for the advice Larry!
I guess I will hang on to them a while longer, they ARE getting big! The best male is awesome! I sold or gave away two other males, and there were two smaller ones I kept that are in another tank, one is colored up nicely, but doesn't have the long trailing fins. The other I'm pretty sure is a male, but isn't coloring like the others did. I guess there is just natural variation at work here. If these guys get a lot bigger, that BIG tank will have to be coming sooner than I had planned, ha ha!
