Got very bad news today..

My Stepson from my former marriage was found deceased today.

He was at home in England where he lives, and has for the last 20 years.
Sammy was 7 when his mom and I married and I raised him in the Dallas area.
At 19 he joined the U.S. Army and met a girl in the military from England.
After leaving the service he moved to England.
I have not seen him in quite some time.

After he had not shown for work in 3 days a friend went to check on him.
He had been deceased for 3 days due to complications from diabetes.

My heart is hurting very bad right now. Any man can be a father.
I was Sammy's daddy for all of his growing up years. In my mind and heart I will always be his daddy.
I feel so bad he died all alone.

God is looking after him now.
He was divorced but say a prayer for his ex-wife and 3 children.

You and your son will be in our prayers. I'm so sorry.

It feels like you have lost a part of yourself.
To know you have so many that care makes it easier.

His children are in England and he will be buried there.
So without the ritual of the funeral we are so used to it makes closure
much harder.
