Re: red devils
I would love to see a full tank shot of this tank!
Any way that you can make that happen, friend?

Re: red devils
Thanks Jeff, that is one cool tank!
I'll bet he's one protective dude when you come near the tank!

Re: red devils
That java moss should spread quickly and look nice. I ended up ripping mine out of the tank, however, because it was such a debris catcher. I had to shake it out at water change time and it became such a hassle keeping the tank clean. I hope it works out better for you -- it really does look nice when it takes off and is clean.

Some days stuff just works
Onboard flash, 10Xmacro filter on the 18-55mm kit lens, manual mode ISO100 shutter200 Aperture14-16
10 out of 17 shots were decent

Awesome shots ! Love the evil eye pic. Amazing that you can get so clear close ups on the fry. Great stuff Jeff.

Wow, nice pics, Jeff!
I am just going to have to force myself this winter to learn how to use my
Canon DSLR that I got last year for Christmas.
I've been thinking about signing up for some photography classes.

Re: red devils
Nice one. Saw a guy hand feeding a sea eel on tv yesterday. He lost a thumb. The eel mistook it for a snack.

Do you plan on separating the fry from the parents soon?

Re: red devils
the flash died on me after about 5 shots, I was too lazy to swap the batteries
only got one pic that had any potential, so did a little tweaking to it
copied the layer so I had the fish separate, sharpened that layer
didn't like the funky maroon algae so played with the color balance a bit to get it green, then guassian blurred that layer till the specks were gone
unmasked the fish on the copied layer so it wasn't blurred and colored
