Petco $1 a gallon sale

It's going on right now and ends on July 17.

About time somebody did this again!

That's a good deal for the 40 and 55. Unfortunately, the Petco in my area is phasing out their aquariums and supplies. They used to have a very nice selection of Africans. Not sure what happened there.

too bad they arent doin it all the way to the 125 or even the 90s

The 84 gallon longs go up for sale at a dollar a gallon about twice a year in my area. A little competition between F.I.S.H. and Tropicana. They are the only 2 lfs's that carry them.

Norm, I used to buy fish at TropAquarium when we lived in Vegas! Is that the same as Tropicana?

Yes Betty it is. Despite the depression era unemployment we have here in the Valley they're still doing a good business. I can't make up my mind which is my favorite. F.i.s.h. or Trop. They both have their advantages when it comes to Africans.

When and where did you live in Vegas?

We lived in the vicinity of Winterwood Golf Course. My husband and I were both stationed at Nellis AFB before we got married. This was a long time ago, 1984 - 86, some pretty good times.

The Golf course is now called the Desert Rose Golf Club and I know that area as Sunrise mountain. There are some beautiful homes and views from up there.
