Just my luck

i was right one of my pandas has ich and now all my Astatotilapia calliptera have it got some espon salts maybe its a sign from the frsh water fish gods that they mad im going salt?

I haven't dealt with ich in a long time, but when I did, I used either salt (aquarium salt) together with raised temperatures or Quick Cure with good results. I know that there are several medications that would work as well. I'm not sure if epsom salts work on ich, though.

Aquari-Sol is safe. Works fast.
Epsom Salt will not help..

If you see salt and temp raise is not working don't wait long..

Quick Cure does work well and its pretty cheap. Only drawback is it will stain the silicon a blueish tint.

table salt or aquarium salt, or pickling salt... NaCl but not over 1tsp per gallon, too much might burn the cories
the aquarisol or quickcure should work, but it will take a week to get rid of all the stages of ich

What is ich? Is it a parasite?

the ich is under control now looks like the salt did the trick only did a water change every other day for about a couple days

Derek, if you used the salt method, it's recommended that you continue treatment for a few days after the spots disappear from the fish to insure that the parasites are destroyed after they leave the host.
