Betta
I picked up a sad looking betta in a cup the other day. I have a small 2.5 gallon tank that I'd been dumping extra cherry shrimp babies that were getting sucked up when cleaning another tank. He's changed a bit over the past week.
When I first brought him home.
A couple of days later.
There are no more shrimp babies.

Re: Betta
it's sad to se them at stores in little cups. I'm going to 'rescue' one or two today since I have spare tanks... Do you have any info to share on their upkeep?

Not really; I haven't kept any for a long while. I used to keep them when I had community tanks and they always did okay that way. What I do know is that they are much easier to keep healthy in a tank with some filtration and heat.
I'm probably going to move this guy to a 10 gallon, but he's quarantined right now and he's so small that this 2.5 seems big. I know it's better than a cup!
This one was labeled as a Dragon Scale.
Post pics when you get yours.
