The larger P. Sp. "coatzacoalcos" are breeding again. I am constantly amazed at not only the dramatic color shift, but also how quickly it happens.

So the fish that looks like this:

He spent a lot of time arranging the plants (silk) around the mouth of a ceramic cave.

The female had eggs in the cave. Unfortunately the males "attention" proved to be a little too much. She was getting beaten up...so I separated the pair hoping she would return to the cave.

And one thing that never changes color is the beautifully colored dorsal fin.

Very nice!!! Quite a difference. Love the color on that dorsal fin and great close up.
