Anybody else order from KEN?
Just ordered some krill and a heater(finally) and a few pellets, UPS actually saved me a dollar over flat rate
He said he was going to be adding some more stuff soon, can't wait to see what it's gonna be.
I've always had great luck when ordering stuff through Ken's, always got it in 3 days or less.

What happened with Radek's fishroom? He used to have the best prices on Dianichi and NLS around

Re: Kensfish
I ordered one of those pump contractions to pump water out of the tank at 500 gph. My 125 tank is in my basement and I don't want to clog my drain with sand, so I have to pump the tank water outside.
It works great.
It only took 3 days to arrive as well and the customer serviec was excellent.
Now my brother tried to buy something from them over the phone but could never get anyone nor did anyone ever return his phone calls.
He tried email as well, and still no response.
I hope that was just an isolated incidentl
For the past three years, I buy all my fish food from Ken's Fish at the OCA convention in Cleveland Ohio!

He's always answered when I called, but I've only called 3 times. He may have been at a convention or something?

Re: Kensfish
Ken is awesome. Every November at the OCA I stock up on food and other things I need. His prices are good and his service is even better. Most of my stuff I buy from him but I also use John at JEHMCO. Both are excellent places to buy.
Re: Kensfish
I'm currently waiting for 100g's of Metro, 100 tablets of Clout and an Eheim Pro III filter from Ken. Tracking says it'll be here tomorrow, ordered it Friday. I always check his site when I'm in need of something. Great guy to deal with.
I've only ordered from John one time several years ago (8 or 9?), and based on that and their reputation I'd highly recommend them too and will be ordering from him again shortly. Just wish he'd accept paypal, that's been the only reason I haven't ordered more from him. Last I looked paypal still wasn't an option

Re: Kensfish
We've ordered from both JEHMCO and Kensfish - both companies have been very good to us when we ordered. All the products arrived in a timely fashion and never had issues with making an order.
Re: Kensfish
Ken is a great guy and have been buying from him for years. If you place an order before a show he is attending he will bring it to the show so you can save the shipping.

Re: Kensfish
I wanted something bigger than Tetra jumbo shrimp
these things are almost twice as long
and practically no dust or tiny broken up pieces in the bag
definitely going to order a bigger bag next time
even got a free sample pack again
where else can you find a 300watt heater for under $12.00 ?
EDIT: that heater just crapped out on me, after 3 months it stuck on and wouldn't shut off. The switch finally clicked after sticking it in some icewater, but now it will click on at 76F and doesn't turn off till it hits 86F. Not worth taking another chance on it

Re: Kensfish
I ordered some pumps from Kens a few years ago. He was the only one it seemed at the time that carried the Capp 2200 submersables. Price was awesome and they arrived on time.
Re: Kensfish
also got some of the "KENS PREMIUM AQUA STABLE 9.5 MM SINKING PELLETS" thinking the red devil may eat them
they're huge! the red devil doesn't care for them, but his kids love to nibble away at it
dropped a few in the 180 for the synos to munch on and the big haps loved them

A lot of the other large pellets I've tried just fall apart after a few minutes if the fish don't get to them, after a couple of hours the devil babies were still nibbling on that same pellet.THIS LARGE SINKING PELLET STAYS TOGETHER FOR A LONG TIME WITHOUT FOWLING THE WATER. GREAT FOR BOTTOM FEEDERS!

Re: Kensfish
I just ordered some of his sinking shrimp pellets for my Fronts last night.
I have no problem with his food.
I thought about trying some of this larger stuff for the fronts. Glad to see what it looks like.

Re: Kensfish
Since Radek is MIA ,Ive been only buying from Ken.
5 lb. bucket of NLS 3mm. @ $49.00
1/4 lb. of fresh water shrimp @ $9.95
plus $11.00 bucks shipping to Colorado.
Shrimp are 1 inch, but thick. I like the river shrimp mostly
for my tangs, but all my Giant haps get some once a week .

Re: Kensfish
he'll be here the 14th
http://www.pvas.net/images/stories/documents/pvasAuctionFlyer.pdf
maybe he had to leave early to setup?
http://www.kensfish.com./index.html
seems he'd get some help so somebody could run the place while he's gone

Re: Kensfish
Yeah that was my main purchase but I'm also down to my last jar of NLS pellets and was thinking about trying some of the 1.5 cichlid pellets they have or another bucket of NLS. Might as well get all I can with one shipping cost.
