how long will it take?

just wondering how long would it take for the plants to die so i know if i make it past this time im doing it right and stuff lol

I'm sure that will vary from plant to plant, but with mine, it doesn't take long at all, anywhere from just a few days to start seeing leaves dissolve or turn brown and fall off, to some lasting several months before finally dying. (For anyone that doesn't know, I'm terrible at keeping aquatic plants!)

Seeing new growth might be a sign that you are doing it right.
