Ps Minutus ( Nkhata Bay )
I bought a bunch of Ps Minutus Nkhata Bay wild caught from Atlantis. I got about a dozen or more. They were very expencive and dont come in that often. This is a rare fish in the hobby. Well I bred my wild ones but it took forever I lost a few and was down to about 3 females abe 2 males. I only got a few clutches. I kept all the fry and sold off most of the males and kept all the females. The fish in the pics are my F1 fry . So far I got 3 clutches out of 2 females. I have some more almost up to breeding size. I hope Atlantis gets another shipment of them so I can get some wild males to add to my group and off the F1 males. Hope you enjoy the pics

wow a old timer like myself . and we have almost the sane name, cool !!!! Hey do you know the locality of the C afra they used to call dwarf zebra. It was more on the Purple and black and the bars ran from the bottom of the belly to the top of the dorsal fin. I know they introduced it to West Tumbi Is

Hey Vinnie , I go by Vince . Sorry no , I ordered from Evin & Tom Bailey out of San Diego back then & never got much info on the areas their fish came from. at the time I was told north , south , east or west but not on particular areas of the lake . There's a guy on here named why_spider that would probably know . Larry Johnson may know too .

Re: Ps Minutus ( Nkhata Bay )
I remember thoes days. Only a few fish had a true locality. Evin & Tom Bailey I remember them I had their B&W stock list . I remember the Ps Minutus in the B&W photo and the breff description. I would think that the C afara I'm talking about would be more known to someone into the fish since the late 70's. After all ther have been so many afars up for sale. I deal with wholesalers and importers for years and I have not seen them since 1980 come in wild. Same thing with the true Elongatus with the blunt face an wide bars. I have lookd at all the locals on the net search all the C.afra populations I could find. I can not find either fish in the Konings books that I have here is one from the TFH book By Axelrods

Most likely Nick A is breeding those and if so, you should be able to get buy them at Dave's Rare Rish whenever he has fry that have grown out sufficiently.

Thank you for the tip very cool of you. I will wait till Alantis has them availibile wild. I want to make sure they are pure . Also I have a thing for wild fish. This way if anyone question my stock I can always say my stock all came from wild fish I got from the importer
