Krill Cake Empty Krill Cake

Had a bunch of fines left over from krill over the last year, I was about to throw it out but thought I'd try something first.

I put it into a sandwich bag with a little bit of water and mixed it up to a thick paste. Flattened it out and froze it.

It fell apart as soon as it hit the water. So i decided to dry it out.
Put it on a cookie sheet and into the oven for about 2 hours on the lowest setting (170 on mine)

Stays together a lot better and comes apart in chunks instead of a cloudy mess. The red devils love it, even the big male can eat it.

Yum. That looks like it'd be good with salsa...... You know your a fanatic when your fish eat better than you.

What made you think of drying it out in the oven?

How did the house smell when you were drying it out?

I'd try some of that if I didn't have a mouthful of marbles.

It didn't smell too bad, but I had the windows up and the wife wasn't home.
