I have plants in quite a few of my tanks, all low-tech set-ups, though, no CO2 injection or special lighting.

Plant killer maybe...not much luck with the few plants I have and no idea what they are anymore either. Once they are gone, I think I'll be out of plants.

Some of the CA/SA planted tanks look amazing (I read you have a planted angel tank...Pictures?) but I haven't done one yet.

Funny. Yesterday I was thinking of posting something in this forum just so it wouldn't look so lonely. I know there are a few people here that can grow plants and quite a few others that end up with bad salad.

I'm growing some nice algae, but my java moss isn't doing so great.

I think you know my track record with live plants. Sad

I can't even keep the fake ones looking alive.

I keep live plants in almost all of my tanks (even with my Tropheus). I very much like the look of real plants in a tank. However, please don't ask me why they stay alive and grow like weeds, I have no idea. A few years back I started experimenting with Anubias barteri and Java fern because of their hardiness. The Java fern is not doing too good but it stays alive. The Anubias is growing like weeds. I was told at the time by somebody who knows that Anubias don't need a lot of light but they need light for a long time during the day. My lights go on at 6:00 am and shut off at 10:00 pm. That seems to work for me.
Last year I started to add some Anubias nana and they too work fine so far. Anything else I try turns into a brown mess very quickly. Embarassed

I've got one anubias nana in with my tropheus, can't say it's doing good but the leaves haven't fallen completely off it yet. It seems to be staying alive, but not thriving. I would like to get plants in more of my tanks but I've never really studied the art of keeping aquatic plants.

Dead batteries in the camera. I'll get pcis when I buy new batteries. My main reason for posting was the fact that this forum had no posts.

I had some nice plants and then I put my Saulosi in the tank and they ate it down to just a few stems above the sand. I still have 2 Java ferns that have made it a year in one tank but that's it. I have tried Java fern and a few Anubias but so far I don't guess I have a green thumb
