Maybe a blue male Metriaclima estherae, I don't think the M. callainos get the barring.

Could be a Metriaclima chrysomallos. If they are available in the US.

I am leaning towards this fish as being a hybrid, based on the amount of stripping (too many) and the stipes are not "crisp" as what is usually observed in the wild (Both males or female). I have obsered these types of "Kenyi" come in from the far east loooking like this. Although they look decent to the majority of cichlid keepers, I would not want to use them as breeding stock.
Over the last several years of importing wild fish (and M.lombardoi) I have brought in a lot of these fish to my area and they have been a real hit!
With regards to it being a M.Chrysomalos, well I would not personaly bring in that plain blue fish color variety (which come from Gome Rocks) as it would be just another blue fish,,,the other area's north and south of Gome provide a much nicer multiy colored fish with accents of Black or yellow.

Hope this helps.
