Feeding

I know a lot of cichlid keepers skip feeding their fish one day a week. Do you?

Yes mam I do.

We skip Sundays except for fry tanks but I do only feed them once on Sunday.

I don't have a planned day every week to fast the fish. I used to back when I started out. They fast now due to my laziness, no specific pattern tho.

I used to have a planned day too. I started fasting them because I had read that it was a good thing to do in topics about bloat and feeding, but never really understood why that would make any difference -- I just did it because it seem like everyone else did. I almost never do it any more.

I don't but should I? They do get missed the odd day but not often. So far I haven't had a problem but I haven't had them for that long. I feed once a day and try not to feed that much but if it wise to skip a day I will.

Im with mike! i get lazy sometimes and forget to feed em probably once a week lol.....i only feed once a day as well...except fry of course

Guess I'm out on a limb by myself . lol 5 times daily (small feedings ) & only fast once monthly .
