Lab. sp. hongi.

Post by theswede on Thu Jan 21, 2010 7:32 am

Bought a group of 8 Lab. sp. hongi juvies today. Will post some pics when they have settled in. They are about 1,5 inches. Here is one bad pic.

Not a bad pic, looks good to me. And the fish looks really good. I've never kept them, but have always like the hongi.

I always liked them to. There is a line breed version of the hongi in Sweden that looks so good. Both male and female are very red on the body, but hard to get hold of up here in the north.

Great looking Labidochromis. So many Mbuna that I would like to have and this one is near the top of the list. Unfortunetly I am very limited as to what is available locally.

This is why these are my favorite Mbuna!

They certainly have a lot of color variations as well.

Some are more orange than others and some have a lavender base color that really stands out, especially when placed with Red Zebras or Yellow Labs.
