little bit of an upgrade,
still cloudy from all the gravel getting stirred up, just took a few quick shots
The little jag is almost as big as the other now, time to see how they get along

Put the wood in, it was so bouyant I thought I'd have to bolt the tank down to keep it from floating away Put some bark pieces over the pvc overflow to help hide it. Still hate that blue background but too lazy to drag the tank out and redo it. The aragonite gravel stirs up dust everytime I do anything to the tank now, I think it just dissolves over time and some of it turns to dust, should be cleared up in and hour.
Jags got a little freaked out by my 2 hours of diggin and splashin around.

Re: 10gal Jag tank, now 180
redo #2 for the day
I had about a 5lb rock ziptied under the big end of the wood, and a scrap piece cut from the end wedging it under the tank rim, along with a small rock on the little end of the wood. It worked until I noticed that the intake on the Emperor was gone, you can see it missing in the last tank shot When I tried to put it back I knocked the wood loose and it floated away.
I drained about half the water again, took the ziptied rock off and mounted that end to a 1X2ft piece of acrylic and stuck about 30lbs of rock on top of that. Think it looks better with the bigger rocks in there anyway.

Very nice tank Jeff! I don´t mind the blue background, but he downside might be that your jags will become lighter in color then they normaly would in a darker tank.

I'll probably switch gravel eventually, or mix it with some dark pebbles

Wow Jeff, this thread is beautiful. It's great to see how they develop into these "monsters". I had some motaguense fry and tried to grow them out but had to get rid of them at about 4". They just went after everything else, even if the other fish were double the size. I did feel bad because the sure were awesome fish but they needed a bigger tank and I was not willing to sell my Tropheus for them.......
