He did the business with female number two today. Will be interesting to see if they go full term or not.

They look so pretty -- positively glowing. Wink

Are you going to try and keep the fry?

I think so. I have a friend that only have three males, so he might take some of them.

This will be your chance to see how difficult they will be to catch with the new background! Twisted Evil

Congrats on the spawns. Should be interesting to see if the females slow in grow at all - or not grow as large. From my experience - females that spawn young don't always reach their full growth potential.

Yes, that is true. I´ve had several females like that. I have a golden that spawn early and she is still rather small after three years.

I saw my mbunas hunting some red fin fry today, and the female is no longer holding. She was only holding for 16 days. I was planing to take her out day 18. Well better luck next time I guess. The other female was only holding for about a week.

That's too bad, but it might not be a bad thing for the female's health this early on. Plus now you don't have to try to catch her! Twisted Evil

He's definitely growing into a real stunner!!! These are actually one of my favorite haps, I'm not a big fan of the peacocks and haps but there are some that I like and this is one of em Wink
