so on a scale one to 10

one being easiest 10 being hardest would it be to move a 125 gallon set up salt water tank? it has this going on i sent in a email dad really wants a salt tank only reason why we put a offer in so would it be hard? and what else would i need? besides ferts and what not? but their might be some pretty important stuff in the misc labeling...

Fish - Yellow tang, two clownfish, one skunk hawkfish
Miscellaneous Supplies
Everthing needed to set up a beautiful reef system, including some fish...some of the live rock already has growing polyps

i literally did this as my last job tonight...

crappiest part is the weather... and fighting the cold

good thing is those are hardier fish for the marine world, take extra care to the yellow tang though.

you problem is going to be moving water. i would try to save as much from the original tank as u can... and have some made up salt water on site where ur setting it up at ur place, with matching salinity and up to proper temp...

dont clean the wet dry if u can help it, wait a week.

what kind of light is it exactly, what protein skimmer (and pump that drives the skimmer), what sump system is it, and what return pump.


and if u dont mind me asking how much is the set-up?

lights and all idk and im waiting for the email back to see if he still has it and its dirt cheap how could i move the water the safest? and chirs i might need your help if thats ok i would do it on a weekend pickup

You can bag the water just like the fish. Use bigger bags though so it doesnt take so many. Actually, We have moved water a few times. Large, clean trash bags in trash cans, totes, buckets or boxes. The bag will hold the water but you need something to hold the bag.

yea i have moved water in bags in 5 gall buckets and it took like 15 buckets for my 55 this is going to be a big move if we do i sent a email seeing what kind of misc stuff and supplies and what the lights are and the skimmer and test kit? for what?

he would need like 30 buckets to move all that water and live rock... at least... sure u could fill a trash can with water then how do u get it in a car to move it or into the house? my 45 gallon rolling brute can is unliftable when full. 1 gallon is 8 pounds... ur looking at almost 1000 pounds in water.
