the kid is back!!

so i have no tanks up and running its been like 6 months im dieing. Its time to get back in the game i wanna turn my 45 tall into a tang tank. but i need some stocking help i am for sure gonna want to have this a tank with fish in each column of water. I'm going to go shellies on the bottom not sure of species yet but im gonna get some thing different of course. For the top water column i wanna go some kind of cyp maybe? or what do you guys think? What ever i end up picking they have to do well in a smaller group due to the fact its only a 45. What do you guys think?

i dont have it at the moment but i wanna say it was 3 feet wide and like 4 tall and a foot deep but that was so long ago

How about a pair of gold occies, they are awesome little pit bulls of a fish
(mine bite my hands if they get a chance), with shells and deep sand in one area, a nice rock pile with some julidochromis (my faves are J. transciptus) and a few A. calvus or A. compressiceps?
My 55 gallon has a pair of gold occies, 2 comps, 2 calvus, 3 N. helianthus (a pair? and an odd one) 4 julies, and a BN. Tank sometimes looks a bit understocked, but everyone is getting along. The occies have spawned a few times, but I haven't saved any fry from them. I tried some other small Tangs in there, but they didn't really work out well, this mix has been very successful.
I have sandy areas, 3 rock piles and some Crypt wendtii plants in the. Lots of big and little shells, too, the Altos often like to hide in the larger shells.

yea turt it is a odd size and thanks J i really like that idea i was over at addcitedtocichlids house and i found my RO unit and maybe a German blue ram tank with some corys and maybe some tettras? ahh i just dont know what to do

yea im just stuck i have so many ideas and things i wanna do that i still haven't done yet lol. I could easily start a fish basement with all the things i wanna do
