Check out these bristles

This is the father of every bristlenose fry I've raised and there have been many. I think he's getting better looking with age. 
I don't normally like to keep bare-bottom tanks, but the plecos poop so much that I pretty much have to go with no substrate in here.

He is really bushy-nosed, isn't he? lol
A couple of mine have the large bristles like that, the other male has just minimal.
