thanks betty, im hoping that with the new plants i will have better control of the algae, its such a pain in ass.

I'm sure I don't have enough of them to have any effect, but the few plants that I have are actually covered with algae. Laughing My bristlenose do a great job of keeping the tanks algae-free, but they don't remove it from the plants (without eating parts of the plant). For me the pain in the ass is removing all of the dead plant debris that gets stuck on the filter intakes.

It looks like you are better at keeping them alive than I am!
