My 55

so latley my 55 gallon as been getting cloudy faster then normal and im not looking it what could i do to help keep it stay clear for longer?

Can you provide a bit more information about it? Did you increase stocking levels? Or change anything else from what you ordinarily do?

Change filters, add new lights or have young fish growing up?

filters are the same no stock increase well i guess there there is a new little fry growing up but that cant mess up the whole tank? no new lights nothing else has changed could it be my fish are getting bigger?

would one of them submersible uv sterilizers do it?

What filters do you have on the tanks? You might need to increase area for bioload if its a white cloudiness. If its greenish in color you need to run your lights less.

i have a Penguin BIO-Wheel Power 350 and a Bio System Power Filter & Oxy Surface Skimmer 75 i have sponges in the the Bio System Power Filter & Oxy Surface Skimmer and in the 350 i have charcoal

no i have never tested them in that tank the only tank well i dont even test it any more was my 45 ventalis tanks and that was because they are wild caught and all

Hmm, that's a tough one. If nothing has changed, it doesn't make sense that the water would start clouding up on you.

What percentage of water do you change and how often? I'd go ahead and test it to make sure the readings haven't slowly crept up on you over time.

i usually crank out about 25 gallons 3 times a month some times jsut 2 times but i dont get why its cloudy kinda making me mad cause its the show tank and in the living room and who wants to look at a cloudy tank i was thinking should i put bigger sponges in the other filter? not the 350 and well what else could i do? jeff any diy cures of yours?

did a huge water change moved some of the rocks the bigger ones to get whats under them and all so we will see what happens
